Students from Uttar Pradesh’s colleges and universities will spearhead an environmental preservation public awareness campaign. In order to increase public knowledge and sensitivity to environmental concerns, the state administration is organising a campaign that will include street dramas, puppet performances, rallies, contests, and training sessions. While puppet acts will entertain audiences of all ages, street plays will illustrate the detrimental consequences of plastic pollution on waterways.
Local fairs will include eco-friendly exhibits. Schoolchildren will be heavily involved in the campaign, taking part in speech competitions on cutting down on plastic usage at home and poster contests with nature-themed themes. There will be environmental quizzes, and the victors will get eco-friendly merchandise.
In order to spread messages about environmental conservation, the campaign will make use of a variety of media channels, such as radio, television, and the internet. Examples of this will include the resurrection of rivers via the removal of plastic.
In order to counteract increasing temperatures brought on by pollution, the campaign would be carried out widely across the state, in conjunction with massive tree planting projects, said Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, the Uttar Pradesh Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister.
