BGT Dressing Room News Leak Controversy
BGT Dressing Room News Leak Controversy: The case of shameful defeat 1-3 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the discovery of the dressing room has now taken a big turn. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken strict steps taking the matter seriously. The board has removed Assistant Coach Abhishek Nair from the post, whose tenure started just 8 months ago. The decision was taken after the complaint of a team member during the BCCI review meeting, stating that the inner things of the dressing room were going out.
Fielding coach and trainer also fell
According to media reports, apart from assistant coach Abhishek Nair, the Indian team's fielding coach T Dilip and trainer Soham Desai have also been discharged. According to sources, no new coach will be appointed instead of Nair, as Sitanshu Kotak is already associated with Team India as a batting coach. At the same time, the responsibilities of fielding coach T Dilip will now be played by assistant coach Ryan Ten Deskatte.
Team India gets a new trainer
Instead of Soham Desai, Adrian Ltd will now play the role of the new trainer of the Indian team. He is currently associated with Punjab Kings in the IPL. Adrian has also previously worked with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) from 2008 to 2019. Not only this, he also served as a trainer with Team India in 2002-2003. According to reports, he has been newly contract with BCCI and will soon officially connect with the team.
BGT series offered internal discord
In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India suffered a crushing defeat of 1-3, but this series was not limited to defeat. Off -spinner Ravichandran Ashwin surprised everyone with a sudden retirement. At the same time, captain Rohit Sharma separated himself from the Sydney Test, which intensified the speculation of differences within the team. Confidential things in the dressing room started coming out and a member complained to the BCCI. Earlier, Team India had faced a 3–0 defeat in the Test series against New Zealand at home ground, which raised questions about the performance.
