According to 8days, Fan had been planning to obtain Hong Kong residency through investment immigration for nearly a decade before successfully achieving her status.

Dimsum Daily reported that Fan, who is adapting well to life in Hong Kong, currently resides in a 5,000-square-foot (465 square meters) home on Barker Road in the The Peak neighborhood. The monthly rent for her residence is said to be HK$650,000 (US$83,745).

Sources also indicate that the actress, along with her mother, has integrated into Hong Kong’s elite social scene. She has been seen socializing with prominent figures such as Chan Hoi Wan, the wife of billionaire Joseph Lau, and Hsieh Ling Ling, the former wife of businessman Peter Lam.

In Dec. 2024, Fan attended a Christmas party at the mansion of businessman Cecil Chao, where she was spotted dancing hand-in-hand with him.

At 44, Fan has achieved global recognition as an actress, model, television producer, and singer. In 2017, she was named to Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Her career took a hit in 2018 when she was fined US$128 million for tax evasion, leading to her retreat from the public eye. However, in recent months, she has made a comeback, appearing at international events and reconnecting with fans via social media platforms like Xiaohongshu and Douyin, where she shares updates about her life in Hong Kong.

Since stepping back into the spotlight, Fan has diversified her career by launching a beauty brand, which has seen success, particularly with her popular face mask line.
