Emraan Hashmi’s much-awaited film Ground Zero is all set for its release on April 25, 2025, and ahead of the grand premiere, the makers have organized a red carpet screening in Srinagar. This marks the first such event in the region in 38 years. The special screening will be dedicated to the Border Security Force (BSF), with soldiers and officers attending as guests of honour. Emraan Hashmi took to Instagram to share his excitement, posting a selfie with director Tejas Deoskar and writing, “Groundzero touchdown… landmark day: first red carpet movie screening after 38 years in Srinagar.”

Honouring the BSF’s Bravery

The event holds deep significance as it honors the courage and sacrifice of the BSF soldiers. Ground Zero is based on the daring operation led by Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, played by Hashmi, who led a two-year investigation culminating in the elimination of the notorious terrorist Ghazi Baba. The film sheds light on one of the most audacious anti-terror missions carried out by the BSF in the last 50 years.

Intense Preparation for the Role

Emraan Hashmi’s portrayal of the BSF officer required months of rigorous training, both physical and mental, to ensure authenticity in the role. Hashmi spoke about the transformative journey, saying, “Preparing to play an army officer was one of the most intense and humbling experiences of my career.” He emphasized that the role was not just about wearing the uniform but earning it through hard work and dedication.
