Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke over the phone on Friday about the enormous potential for cooperation in the innovation and technology industries.

In these areas, PM Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening its alliance with the US. According to PM Modi, they discussed a range of subjects, including those they discussed during their February meeting in the United States.

“Spoke to @elonmusk and talked about various issues, including the topics we covered during our meeting in Washington DC earlier this year,” PM Modi said in a post on X. We spoke about the enormous possibilities for cooperation in the fields of innovation and technology. India is still dedicated to strengthening our collaborations with the United States in these areas.

Elon Musk visited Prime Minister Modi at Blair House in Washington, DC, earlier in February. PM Modi and Musk spoke about enhancing cooperation between Indian and US companies in the areas of innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development during their meeting.

Elon Musk and PM Modi also discussed how to strengthen collaboration in the areas of entrepreneurship, good governance, and new technology. Along with him were three of Musk’s children. Musk is the chairman of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

“Prime Minister and Mr. Musk discussed strengthening collaboration between Indian and US entities in innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement. Opportunities to strengthen collaboration in entrepreneurship, good governance, and new technology were also discussed.

Additionally, PM Modi shared information on his meeting with Musk on X. “Had a very good meeting with @elonmusk in Washington DC,” PM Modi said in a post on X. We spoke about a range of topics, including ones he is enthusiastic about, including innovation, technology, mobility, and space. I discussed India’s reform initiatives and the advancement of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.”

During the meeting, PM Modi had the opportunity to meet Elon Musk’s children. “It was also a delight to meet Mr. @elonmusk’s family and to talk about a wide range of subjects!” PM Modi wrote on X.
