Warn to Android and Chrome users, if it does not work, bad will be trapped

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-in) issued a security alert for Android users and Google Chrome browser, saying that if users do not take steps in time, then they may have more trouble.

In fact, the cyber security agency has identified serious weaknesses that can cause data theft, unauthorized access and system instability. These problems are classified as high severity.

According to CERT-in, many weaknesses have been detected in the version of Android versions 13, 14 and 15. CERT-in recommends users and OEMS to upgrade their system to Android 13, 14 or 15 so that they can be safe.

Users who are using Google Chrome on desktop, let them know that weaknesses have also been found in Google Chrome. The affected version includes the Chrome version of 135.0.7049.84 for Linux and 135.0.7049.84/.85 for Windows and McOS.

CERT-in says that this problem arises due to use in site isolation after use in the site isolation. If it is misused, a distance attacker can run arbitrary code on the system by cheating users to visit a specially designed website.

This can cause the system crash, may cause unexpected behavior or lose control of the system. Users are advised to apply the latest latest chrome updates available through Google's official channel so that this problem can be corrected.

Both weaknesses have been rated in high severity and CERT-in advice users to take steps on it immediately. Android users have been advised to update their devices in the latest OS version. At the same time, Chrome users will have to install the latest stable version of Google. The government agency has asked users, organizations and devices to be vigilant and has also asked to implement the patch as soon as possible.
