Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Preparations have begun for the MP Tech Growth Conclave-2025 to be held in the city on April 27. The state government is all set to launch four major technology-related policies during the one-day conclave.
The Brilliant Convention Centre (BCC) which earlier hosted the Global Investor Summits and Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) in 2022, would host the MP Tech Growth Conclave.
Official sources in the MP Electronics Development Corporation (MPEDC) informed that the state government would launch four tech -related policies to attract investment in promising and futuristic areas and efforts would be made to encourage investors to make Madhya Pradesh a preferred destination for global companies in areas like data analysis, cyber security, compliance, AI research and supply chain. Under the policies, there will be provisions like capital investment incentives, salary subsidy, rent reimbursement and interest assistance for Level-1 and Advanced Global Capacity Centres (GCCs).
Semiconductor policy
Under this, both fabless companies and manufacturing units will be encouraged. This includes design reimbursement, infrastructure assistance, EPF incentives and chip tape-out grants. The policy is specially designed to provide a level playing field to the second category companies covered under the Design-Linked Incentives (DLI) scheme of the Government of India. The cabinet committee has been mandated to give quick approval to large proposals.
Drone policy
Institutional support will be provided to drone manufacturing, pilot training, service delivery and testing infrastructure. Start-Ups, manufacturers and drone-as-a-service providers will get seed funding, regulatory support and other benefits.
Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR) policy
This innovation-based sector, included in the state’s economic policy, will get support in intellectual property creation, access to international markets, talent development and studio infrastructure. There will also be incentives for equipment purchase, co-working spaces and student internships.
Global Capacity Centres policy
The state government wants to attract investment in futuristic areas like cyber security, AI research, data analysis and global supply chain. The state is launching the policy to make MP a preferred investment destination for global companies.
