On April 18, 2025, Chennai’s Kalaivanar Arangam came alive with music, lights, and applause as the first single from Thug Life, titled “Jinguchaa”, was officially unveiled. The event brought together three cinematic legends—Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, and A.R. Rahman—in a celebration of artistry and collaboration.

Also in attendance were cast members Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Joju George, and Ashok Selvan, adding glamour and excitement to the much-anticipated musical launch.

Mani Ratnam's Tribute to Kamal Haasan

During the event, director Mani Ratnam praised Kamal Haasan for his cinematic range and influence. “Kamal sir’s presence on a film set lifts 50% of the director’s weight. His ability to guide and uplift the entire cast and crew is unmatched,” he remarked, acknowledging Haasan’s transformative impact on every production he touches.

Ratnam also thanked the Thug Life team and collaborators, saying, “Thank you everyone for putting up with me—and a heartfelt thanks to all our partners.”

Composed by A.R. Rahman and penned by Kamal Haasan, Jingucha is a high-energy track that captures the spirit of celebration. Featuring Silambarasan TR and Kamal Haasan in a colorful wedding sequence, the song blends modern beats with traditional folk rhythms, delivering a unique auditory and visual experience.
