Regatta, the outdoor clothing brand, is closing down yet another of its 60 UK stores. The company's Dundee store is the latest to go, with online.
The "closing down sale" sign was placed over the door at the company shop in Dundee's Overgate Centre just two years after it opened. The shop, which replaced the Oasis store on the ground floor of the shopping centre in 2022, has given no reason for pulling out, according to .
It is reported that the company has not given an official closing date either.
Regatta closed another of its high-street shops only last year. This time, it was in Chatham, Kent. The Dockside Outlet Centre store shut its doors on February 3, 2024, The Sun reported.
A spokesperson for the company, which is well known for selling outdoor wear, told the news outlet at the time:"Regatta did not take the decision to close the store at Chatham's Dockside Outlet Centre lightly.
"The closure comes following challenging footfall in the centre and to coincide with the store lease coming to an end."
Reacting to the closure online, residents were gutted that the store closing was down.
One said: "There won't be anything left here soon," while a second added: "Many more units will be closing soon."
A third said: "Another one bites the dust" and a fourth added bluntly: "Shame!"
