He retired hurt in the sixth over after showing signs of rib pain at Delhis Arun Jaitley Stadium. Sanju Samson left the field and did not return to bat raising concerns about a possible injury. After the game he reported feeling fine but unfit to continue playing. Samsons injury may be more serious than first thought as he has undergone scans despite initial reassurances. The RR management awaits the scan results. Rahul Dravid Rajasthan Royals coach commented on Sanju Samsons injury stating that scans have been completed results are pending and a final decision on his participation will follow.
