In the midst of reports of severe weather, including thunderstorms, rain, hailstorms, and lightning from many districts, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reassured the populace on Friday that their safety is the government’s first concern.
He said that his government’s first concern is still ensuring the safety of its citizens.
The Chief Minister released a statement on the social networking site X with the intention of allaying public fears and describing the state government’s urgent reaction plan.
“Dear residents of the state, numerous districts in the state have reported thunderstorms, rain, and hailstorms,” he said. But you don’t have to be concerned. Your government’s first responsibility is ensuring the safety of every state citizen.
District authorities in the impacted regions have been instructed by the chief minister to carry out quick and comprehensive assessments in order to evaluate the damage brought on by the bad weather. In order to guarantee that impacted residents get aid right away, he emphasized the need of swift and efficient relief efforts.
“The officers of the districts affected by storms, rain, hail, and lightning have been instructed to survey the area and carry out relief work with full promptness,” he said.
In addition, the Chief Minister has directed police to guarantee appropriate medical care for those hurt and to provide prompt financial support to the families impacted by any livestock or fatality.
CM Yogi further emphasized the need to protect wheat inventories at all government purchase centers, including mandis, in view of the current wheat procurement process.
He added, “The officers have been directed to ensure that wheat is stored safely at all purchase centers, including mandis, and to assess crop damage and report back to the government so that further action can be taken in this regard, given the ongoing government purchase of wheat.”
