Rajasthan Royals vs. Lucknow Super Giants, IPL 2025: Prior to their IPL 2025 encounter against the Lucknow Super Giants, which is set to take place at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday, head coach Rahul Dravid rejected any discussions about his disagreement with captain Sanju Samson.

Dravid said that when it comes to team decision-making, he and Samson are in agreement. According to reports, there are problems in the Rajasthani dressing room.

Fans started talking when a video of Samson not participating in the Super Over strategy against the Delhi Capitals went popular on social media. Samson was seen in the video standing outside the Rajasthan dugout during the team huddle, when Dravid was speaking with a few players. In the Super Over, Rajasthan lost the match.

“Where these rumors are originating from is unknown to me. At the press conference before the game, Dravid said, “Sanju and I are on the same page.”

Rajasthan has only scored two victories after seven games in the current IPL 2025, and they haven’t been at their best. With just four points under their belt, they are having trouble in seventh place. In addition to their issues, Samson’s ailment has grown to be a serious worry, and it’s still unclear whether the RR captain will play versus LSG.

Notably, Dravid and Samson had previously collaborated while the former was in charge of Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy and later served as the Indian team’s head coach.

The former India coach continued by reassuring everyone that Samson, as captain, is an important member of the leadership team and has a significant influence on choices.

“The decisions are being made by me, with Sanju Samson being an integral part of that and consultation with our other coaches and our analyst team,” stated Dravid.

Nobody asserts that every choice, even those made by experts, is right or successful. However, I accept the reality and have complete faith in the group of people around me, who will help Sanju and me make these choices,” Dravid said.
