On Thursday, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) revealed its intentions to expand the Medical Device Park.
The authority has made the decision to expand the present projects, which now total 350 acres, by around 150 acres. The park will now have 500 acres in total size thanks to this development. According to authorities, the development is intended to draw in more capital and strengthen the area’s standing as a major center for the production of medical devices.
According to YEIDA, 40 new businesses have already signed up to make investments in the Medical Device Park. These businesses will concentrate on producing tools for the prevention and management of severe diseases, which will increase the park’s potential as a hub for cutting-edge medical care.
“We originally intended to build the Medical Device Park on 350 acres, but the area has been increased due to the increasing interest of investors,” said Arun Veer Singh, CEO of YEIDA. The original 350 acres have been increased to 500 acres. A total of 74 businesses have been given 179 acres of property so far. The lease deed has been completed by 36 of these firms. Eleven firms are still working on the project, while one company has finished the construction. We are getting ready to extend the Medical Device Park to 500 acres because investors are really interested in it.
More than 40 Indian and foreign businesses have shown interest in investing in the Medical Device Park, Singh said. It is projected that the forthcoming start of flights from Noida International Airport, which is predicted to happen after May, would greatly accelerate industrial expansion in the YEIDA area.
In June 2025, more than 200 medical device firms are anticipated to attend the India MedTech Expo, which will be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. In order to entice additional businesses to establish operations inside the Medical Device Park, YEIDA intends to emphasize government initiatives and regional investment prospects at the expo.
