For effective preparation of NEET PG, it is important to use time management, strategy, and resources properly. The NEET PG 2025 guide given below may be useful for you:

1. Understand the NEET PG exam pattern and syllabus

NEET PG Exam Pattern: NEET PG is a computer-based test (CBT). It consists of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). 3.5 hours are available for this exam for a total of 800 marks. There is no negative marking on it.

NEET PG Syllabus: Based on MBBS curriculum. It includes pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects. Medicine, surgery, OBG, pediatrics, and pharmacology are considered high-weightage subjects.

NEET PG Strategy: Download the NEET PG syllabus from the official website of NBE natboard.edu.in. Analyze the question papers of the last few years. This will give information about important topics.

2. Time Management and Study Plan

Time: You have 2 months left. Now study for 8-10 hours daily.

Study Plan:

Phase 1 (First 1-2 months): Cover all the topics. Allocate 3-5 days for each topic. Focus more on high-weightage topics (Medicine, Surgery).

Phase 2 (Next 1 month): Focus on weak areas and start revision. Make short notes.

Phase 3 (Last 15-30 days): Only do revision, mock tests and solve previous years' papers.

Tip: Keep 1-2 hours daily for solving mock tests or questions. Allocate one day in a week for revision.

3. Resources and Books

Pre-Clinical: Anatomy (Gray’s, BD Chaurasia), Physiology (Ganong), Biochemistry (Herper/Satyanarayana).

Para-clinical: Microbiology (Ananthanarayan), Pharmacology (KD Tripathi), Pathology (Robbins).

Clinical: Medicine (Harrison/Davidson), Surgery (Bailey & Love), OBG (DC Dutta), Pediatrics (OP Ghai).

Reference material: Coaching notes like Prepladder, Marrow, Deepak Marwa, or DAMS notes.

Online Resources:

Apps: Marrow, Prepladder, Dr. Bhatia’s DBMCI.

Youtube: Dr. Devesh Mishra, Dr. Najeeb Lectures.

Mock Tests: NBME, Marrow QBank, Prepladder Test Series.

Tip: Don’t read too many books. Stick to 1-2 reliable sources and revise frequently.

4. Subject-wise strategy

High-weightage subjects: Spend 60-70% of your time on Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Pediatrics, and Pharmacology. Most of these questions are clinical scenario-based.

Low-weightage subjects: Give less time to topics like anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry, but cover basic concepts.

Scoring subjects: Finish topics related to PSM, dermatology, radiology, and psychiatry as early as these can be scored.

Tip: Focus on drugs, dosage, and disease mechanisms in pharmacology and pathology.

5. Mock tests and previous years' questions

Mock tests: Attempt at least 1-2 mock tests a week. Analyze the tests to improve time management and accuracy.

Previous years' questions: Questions may be repeated in NEET PG. Make sure to solve the previous 5 years question papers.

Tip: Analyse the wrong answers and revise the relevant topic immediately.

6. Health and mental preparation

Health: Get 6-8 hours of sleep daily, eat healthy food, and do light exercise (yoga, walking).

Stress Management: Practice meditation. Take short breaks in between studies. Stay positive and stay confident.

Tip: Take 5-10 minute breaks in between studies. Talk to friends or family to reduce stress.

7. Strategy for the last 15 days
Revision: Focus on short notes, formulas, and high-yield topics (like ECG, radiology images, drug side effects).
Mock Test: Take 1 mock test daily and practice time management.
Do not read new topics: Revise already-read topics. Do not read new topics now.
