Downloading images from WhatsApp can become a problem for you. Recently, a person received a call from an unknown number early in the morning, then a photo was sent from the same number. A picture of an elderly man and a question along with it "Do you know this person?" Pradeep ignored it initially, but after getting repeated calls, he finally downloaded the photo at 1:35 pm.

That's it! After that one click, ₹2.01 lakh disappeared from his account. The money was withdrawn from an ATM in Hyderabad and when the bank made a verification call, the fraudsters imitated Pradeep's voice with the help of AI tools and confirmed the transaction. This fraud is called steganography. LSB stenography technique was used in this fraud.

In this, malware is inserted by hiding it inside any photo, audio, or video file. The photo looks completely normal, but as soon as you download it, the virus enters your phone and steals data, bank details, passwords, etc.
