Patna. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav held a press conference on Saturday and targeted the Nitish government of Bihar fiercely. He said that due to institutional corruption and organized loot in the NDA government, financial chaos has spread in the state. A corrupt gang is operating Bihar. Tejashwi Yadav further said, this government has approved schemes worth Rs 76 thousand 622 crore in the last 7 cabinet meetings in a hurry. Most of these schemes are to construction only like Building Construction Department, Road Construction Department, Water Resources Department and other such departments where ministers get 30 percent commission through global tender and contracting.
He further said, this corrupt government is extracting immediate tenders in construction schemes in the election year and getting immediate commission and extracting election expenses. The purpose of this government is to build the money of the state treasury by building a structure and raising a structure. Their people are saying that they do not have to come to the government again, so in the remaining time, take out the tender as soon as possible and create loot. The budget size of the financial year 2025-26 has been kept at 3 lakh 17 thousand crores, which is 38 thousand crores more than the budget of the last financial year 2024-25.
Tejashwi Yadav further said, “In the budget of 3 lakh 17 thousand crores, only 1 lakh 16 thousand crores of rupees have been sanctioned for Scheme Expenders, while in the last three months, the cabinet has announced more than 76 thousand crores schemes keeping in mind the election year. The government should tell that the provision of 1 lakh 16 thousand crores of rupees in the plan item of this financial year budget does not include the amount of on-ging schemes of the last financial year? If it is, then where will we get the amount for new schemes?
8-9% of the total budget of this government is going only in giving interest. That is, you understand that the annual 25 thousand crore to 30 thousand crores goes to pay the interest of the loan taken by the government. In the financial year 2025-26, Total Debt Liability (total loans) is 4 lakh 6 thousand crores, which is 37% of GSDP (𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭-gross state domestic product). From where will you bring funds for these schemes? Not getting any special help from the center?
In Bihar, 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 and 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 have broken all records. The public is plagued by uncontrolled corruption, bribery, ghurghori and brokerage from top to bottom. In a poor state like Bihar, 600 digital chariots are being called from Delhi in the name of women's dialogue in a poor state like Bihar. Tell me what a large amount of money is 225 crore rupees, which they are spending in running a chariot from the government treasury in their election campaign? The situation of institutional and organized loot is that this government is spending Rs 688 crore on the maintenance and cleanliness of some government buildings. Why this government has given the contract to private companies for cleanliness and maintenance of such buildings. Why did not make a direct appointment for this so that it would provide jobs to thousands of poor people.
The RJD leader further said that how much corruption has taken place in the Nal-Jal scheme. Does the government have any assessment of this? Who does not know that there was an institutional loot of thousands of crores in this scheme? How many taps are water coming? Without thinking, without any access path, this government has built 5,000 such bridges in the state during the NDA rule which is not being used? Tell who looted thousands of thousand crores of those 4 thousand bridge-culverts? Who should build those bridges without approach road? Isn't this organized loot? Then decisions are being taken for the projects to construction of 76,622 crore in a hurry for the same type of loot.
