The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings will play their second match in three days. RCB captained by Rajat Patidar will visit Punjab Kings led by Shreyas Iyer in Mullanpur. Their previous encounter shortened by rain saw Punjab Kings victorious. RCB struggled batting only reaching 96 runs despite a fifty from Tim David. Punjab Kings achieved a five-wicket win largely due to Nehal Wadheras quick 33 runs from 19 balls. If RCB found Chinnaswamy challenging Sunday’s surface could prove even tougher. The match will be held at the same venue where Kolkata Knight Riders recently collapsed while chasing just 111 against Punjab getting bowled out for 95. That game saw the lowest total ever successfully defended in IPL history. Punjab is expected to retain its current team particularly given Yuzvendra Chahals strong recent performance (two wickets against RCB and four against Kolkata). RCB meanwhile is likely to dismiss Fridays loss as an unusual event confident in their better away record this season.
