According to industry insiders, Rocking Star Yash will begin filming Ramayana Part 1 in Mumbai next week, which is a significant step. As an auspicious beginning to his voyage with this mythical tale, Yash would first seek the blessings of the gods at the sacred Shree Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. This trip demonstrates the star’s beloved custom of visiting a temple before beginning every new movie endeavour.

In addition to having a major part, Yash is co-producing the movie alongside Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios under his label, Monster Mind Creations. He has been collaborating closely with the crew on every facet of the enormous production as a hands-on co-producer, and he is scheduled to begin filming his sequences at the end of April.

One of the most well-known Indian figures in Hollywood and the Indian film business, producer Namit Malhotra, is supporting the most ambitious mythical epic in Indian movie history. Ramayana, which was directed by the renowned Nitesh Tiwari, is a picture that will reinvent the mythical genre for a worldwide audience thanks to its sophisticated narrative, state-of-the-art technology, and cinematic vision.

Yash on the creation of the Ramayana
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year, Yash discussed the reasons for his decision to co-produce the movie. Yash described how he first met Namit, saying that he was in Los Angeles talking about visual effects for Toxic. They had been working on the Ramayana project for years, and Namit expressed his idea for it as they conversed.

“I appreciated Namit’s vision. Our united objective was to introduce Indian cinema to a global audience. Our ideas were in line with the type of support we’ve had from our fans. He just asked me, “Do you want to be part of this?” during our conversation. I saw right away how much he would contribute to my vision. He is a wonderful individual with a lot of promise, but not many people know what he has accomplished. It’s incredible that an Indian has taken over and is doing such tremendous things, and his firm has won five or six Oscars. Having such wonderful companions makes me feel really privileged and grateful, Yash said.

On portraying Ravan, Yash
“It’s a very fascinating character,” he had added in reference to the persona. There is no other reason why I would have done it. If you had asked me, “Would you play any other character in the Ramayana?” Most likely not. Additionally, he went on, “I really like the intricacies and shadows of a certain character because, in my opinion, Ravana is the most intriguing character to portray as an actor. There is a lot of room to convey it in several ways. I am ecstatic as an actress. I’m hoping for a completely different approach to it.

On Diwali 2026, Ramayana Part 1 will be released, and on Diwali 2027, Ramayana Part 2 will follow.
