Angellica Bell, known for her stint as the TV presenter on The Money Show, was visibly emotional during a heart-to-heart in the house. On Tuesday evening's episode, she let down her guard within the confines of the Diary Room, revealing the challenges she faced since her departure from the show back in 2023.

Recalling lighter moments in the house after being prompted by Big Brother about 'banging the pots and pans in the morning,' Bell couldn't help but chuckle at how it annoyed fellow housemate Donna Preston. The conversation took a confessional turn when she told Big Brother: "I'm going to be honest with you, I didn't think I'd get this far. I'm still pinching myself that I'm here."

Big Brother praised her, saying, "Big Brother thinks you're a great housemate." This overwhelmed her to tears, before she admitted she struggles to accept compliments.

She continued: "I've loved every minute, it's probably the best thing I've done in a long time. Before I came in here, I was a little bit scared. The press were asking me if I would and stuff, it took me a long time to get over that."

The outpouring of support from the public and fellow celebrities, Bell mentioned, helped her persevere through the tough period following her exit from the finance-themed programme, reports the .

"I was so grateful to all of the audience who messaged me about it, also to other celebrities who contacted me and stuff because those messages are what got me through," she said.

"That's why I wanted to come onto this show and tap into my old self because it's taken me a long time."

In the midst of sniffles, Big Brother again offered comfort: "Angelica, Big Brother thinks you're doing really well." To which she responded with newfound self-assurance: "You know what, I think I found myself again being here."

Veteran TV presenter Angelica, with a career spanning 25 years in children's and daytime TV, was suddenly dropped from the top finance show in 2023 after co-hosting for six years.

Out of the blue, Angellica found herself no longer required on set, with her shoes quickly filled by ex-Olympian-turned-presenter Jeanette Kwakye.

Angellica, a familiar face on The Martin Lewis Money Show since 2017, swiftly shifted to fronting Channel 5's rebooted version of The Gadget Show, aptly rebranded as Shop Smart, Save Money.

At the time, murmurs of a 'conflict of interest' circulated as the catalyst for her ITV departure.

ITV said at the time: "Angellica is not working on the Martin Lewis Money Show Live, however, the relationship with her remains amicable and we are working with her on other forthcoming programmes."
