New Delhi: Mumbai Indians bowlers delivered a strong performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday limiting them to 143/8 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium despite favorable batting conditions. Trent Boult led the bowling attack with four wickets supported by Deepak Chahars two. Jasprit Bumrahs single wicket which dismissed Heinrich Klaasen proved particularly significant. Bumrahs aggressive bowling consistently pressured the SRH batsmen who struggled throughout their innings. A 31-year-old bowlers full toss struck Abhinav Manohar in the abdomen. However the subsequent reaction drew more attention than the injury itself particularly given Manohars previous six off Bumrah in the preceding over. In the second to last over Jasprit Bumrah yet to take a wicket bowled a significantly inaccurate yorker that struck Manohar in the abdomen. Manohar fell to the ground but Bumrah showed no concern immediately returning to his bowling position. Klaasens innings of 44 balls featuring nine fours and two sixes (strike rate 161.36) contrasted sharply with his teammates performances. Manohar adopted a cautious approach initially before increasing his tempo later in his innings hitting three sixes and two fours before being dismissed in the final over.
