UPSC CSE 2024 Cut-Off: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results of the Civil Services Examination 2024. After the release of the result, the candidates want to know what is the cutoff of the Civil Services Examination this time? The category wise cutoff of all three stages, preliminary, main and final, has been released on the official website of the commission. Candidates can check the cutoff marks of their respective category by visiting upsc.gov.in.

Category-wise cutoff marks
This year the cutoff of the preliminary examination for the General category was 87.98 marks, which can be considered balanced as compared to previous years. At the same time, the cutoff of OBC category in the preliminary stage was 87.28 which is more than the cutoff of EWS at 85.92. The cutoff of Scheduled Caste (SC) was 79.03 and that of Scheduled Tribe (ST) was 74.23 marks. These cutoff marks show that the competition among different categories was very strong even in the preliminary examination.

Talking about the main exam, the cutoff for the general category was 729 marks. For the EWS category, it was 696, for OBC it was 702, for SC it was 685 and for ST it was 684. Moving towards the final cutoff, it stood at 947 marks for the general category, which decides the last line of selection. These figures of cutoff marks provide clear guidance for the students of every category about how much preparation they have to do.

Shakti Dubey of Prayagraj has secured the first position in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024. Harshita Goyal was in second place and Dongre Archit Parag was in third place. Akash Garg of Delhi has got the fifth rank. Shakti Dubey has graduated in Biochemistry from Allahabad University and he had appeared in the examination with Political Science and International Relations subjects.

The Union Public Service Commission declared this result on Tuesday. According to the commission, a total of 2845 candidates were called for interview this year, out of which 1009 candidates have been selected for various services. These include 725 men and 284 women. There are three women and two male candidates in the top 5 ranks. Among the selected candidates, 335 are from general category, 109 from EWS, 318 from OBC, 160 from SC and 87 from ST have been successful.
