CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal 2025: The Vancouver Whitecaps defeated Lionel Messi-led Inter Miami 2-0 on Thursday in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal, with to goals from Brian White and Sebastien Berhalter. Chase Stadium in Florida will host the second leg of the current competition on Friday.

The victorious club advances to the summit battle, where they will face either Tigres Unal or Cruz Azul on June 1.

There were around 53,837 spectators at the BC Place stadium to witness Messi play. When the renowned Argentinean football player started the game and continued to play, they weren’t disappointed. He was joined by Uruguay’s striker Louis Suarez, Spain’s defender Jordi Alba, and Spain’s top midfielder Sergio Busquets.

White, who passed Pedro Vite and headed for goalie Oscar Ustari in the 25th minute, delighted the crowd the most despite Miami’s all-star roster. In the 84th minute, Berhalter increased the team’s lead to 2-0.
