In sympathy with the victims of the April 22 terrorist assault in Pahalgam, people gathered outside the Indian High Commission in the United Kingdom. Those with Indian flags and banners shouted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” People held placards that said, “Hindu Lives Matter” and “Keep Calm and Crush Jihadist terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir to Jerusalem.”
People have gathered in front of the Indian High Commission in the UK to show sympathy for the victims of the Pahalgam assault, according to Kuldeep Singh Shekhawat, president of the Overseas Friends of the BJP in the UK. He called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take the most severe measures against the terrorists who planned the assault and provided them with assistance.
“We have gathered here in front of the Indian High Commission today just in support of those victims in Pahalgam,” Shekhawat told ANI. Tourists were there to have fun and enjoy life, and innocent folks were having a good time. All of a sudden, these terrorists took their lives. The killing of innocent bystanders is not happening. It is completely wrong on many levels if someone are so evil in our society that they would want to murder defenseless bystanders.
“We will not tolerate this behavior from Pakistan, and India will respond forcefully if Pakistan continues to regard this as their way of life. I implore my prime minister to take the most severe measures against the perpetrators of this atrocity as well as those who have provided them with sanctuary and assistance. This is something that no Indian enjoys, and no one in the world would condone such an act. “We’re here to help the Indian community,” he said.
People have come together here to show support for the Indian people, according to another guy. He said that Israel is in favor of India. “India and Israel working together will defeat jihadism from Jammu and Kashmir to Jerusalem,” he said.
He told ANI, “We have come here today to stand in solidarity with our Hindu brothers and sisters and the people of India. We are aware of the characteristics of jihadist terror. We want you to know that you are not alone since we in Israel have endured it for years. And we will always be at your side. We want you to know that we shall destroy jihadism from Jammu and Kashmir to Jerusalem with our cooperation and partnership. We support you, and I even founded the Israel India Friendship Club as a society. We invite anybody who wishes to join us in bringing our two persons together to do so. I believe that if we band together, we will beat our opponent and they will have no chance. “Jai Hind.”
To honor the victims of the April 22 terrorist assault in Pahalgam, the Indian High Commission in the UK hosted a somber memorial service at India House. In addition to Maharashtra’s Minister of Social Justice Sanjay Shirsat, UK Members of Parliament Bob Blackman and Kanishka Narayan, UK Minister Catherine West, Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs L Murugan, and members of the House of Lords Sandy Verma and Lord Raval also offered their sincere condolences.
Members of the Indian diaspora from all across the United Kingdom gathered to show their support for the victims and their families and to pay their respects. In his speech, Vikram Doraiswami, India’s High Commissioner to the UK, emphasized the value of fortitude, solidarity, and justice in the face of tragedies like these.
To honor the memories of those killed in the terrible assault, authorities and residents of the community held a minute of silence. The assembly expressed resolute support for India’s fight for justice and remained together in denouncing terrorism. According to the official release, the dignitaries agreed that terrorism must not go unpunished and emphasized that India would actively seek out, apprehend, and prosecute all terrorists, as well as their handlers and supporters.
The event, according to the official statement, not only demonstrated the growing relationship between India and the UK but also the international community’s agreement to oppose terrorism and fight it in all of its manifestations. In India, terrorists assaulted visitors in the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam on Tuesday, killing up to 26 people and injuring a number more. Since the 2019 Pulwama incident, which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF jawans, it was one of the bloodiest strikes to hit the valley. India has taken serious action against Pakistan for its backing of cross-border terrorism in the wake of the incident.
