If you are a resident of Tamil Nadu and are looking for a government job, then there is good news for you. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has officially released the notification for Group 4 Recruitment Exam 2025. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of TNPSC www.tnpsc.gov.in. A total of 3935 posts will be filled under Combined Civil Services Examination – Group 4 through this recruitment drive.

The application process for this recruitment has started. Candidates can apply for various Group 4 services till 24 May 2025 (till 11:59 pm). Those who have made any mistake in their form will also get a chance to correct it during the application correction window. The correction window will be open from 29 May (12:01 am) to 31 May 2025 (11:59 pm).

What are the eligibility criteria?

Different qualifications have been prescribed for recruitment to different posts, like a 10th pass qualification has been sought for Junior Assistant, then for Junior Assistant cum Typist, graduation degree and good typing speed in English and Tamil should be there. Similarly, for the post of Assistant, candidates should have a bachelor's degree as well as pass the certificate course in computer on office automation conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. Qualifications for other posts can be seen in the official notification.

How to apply?

First of all, go to the examination portal of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission tnpscexams.in.

Then complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process (if not done already).

Those who are already registered can log in directly.

After that fill out the Group 4 application form and upload the required documents.

Now review your application form and submit it.

Make sure to take a printout of it for further need.

What is the exam pattern?

The selection process for these posts includes a written exam. The written exam is scheduled for July 12. This exam will be conducted in a single stage and it will be an objective type OMR-based paper. The exam is divided into three parts, Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test (Part A), General Studies (Part B), and Aptitude and Mental Ability (Part C). Part A has 100 questions while Part B and C together have 100 questions i.e. 200 questions are asked for a total of 300 marks. The selection process will be entirely based on the performance in the written exam. The merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained.
