You will be jailed for 3 years.
If the TTE catches you smoking or drinking alcohol inside the train, then you can be fined and jailed for up to 3 years. In such a situation, the railway strictly instructs its passengers not to smoke or consume alcohol during train journeys.
Do not travel without a ticket.
Traveling by train without a ticket is a punishable offense. According to the rules of the railways, carrying explosive or inflammable items inside the train is strictly prohibited. In such a situation, carrying items like firecrackers, kerosene oil, petrol, and gas cylinders is completely prohibited.

If you are caught with explosives or inflammable items while traveling by train, then under section 164 of the Railway Act 1989, you can be fined Rs. 1000 and imprisoned for up to 3 years.
