Acting is a skill not everyone is adept or comfortable. filmography and cinematic ethics have evolved over the year. In the contemporary scape of cinema intimate scenes or bold cuts are being normalised unlike the early decade of the 70s-90s in India. Today several actors express how the presence of intimacy coach on the film sets ease both the actors to shoot and perform in front of the cameras and the crew. However earlier people were not aware of this concept which often led to uncomfortable situations or the actors. A similar incident on the sets of a film directed by Feroz Khan starring Vinod Khanna occurred in the 1980s. The incident left the young actress in tears who still regrets doing the film. The name of the actress is Madhuri Dixit. When Vinod Khanna Left Madhuri Dixit in Tears Madhuri Dixit had started her career when she got the opportunity to star opposite to Vinod Khanna. While Dixit was around 20-years-old Khanna was already an established star of 41. They featured in the film Dayavan directed by actor-director Feroz Khan. According to several media reports there was an intimate scene that sparked a controversy in 1988. During the shoot it was alleged that the former actor lost control and continued to kiss the heroine for five minutes even after the director shouted cut. This incident left a young Dixit scarred Reportedly she left the set crying and ended up with bleeding lips. Later Khanna also apologised to Madhuri Dixit. Post the incident the director received a legal notice to remove the scene from the film but it was settled down. The actress was paid around Rs 1 crore for the movie. In an old interview Dixit once recalled about the incident and shared how she was not aware about the scene and it remains a regret of her life. Years later Khanna embarked on a spiritual journey and reduced his screen presence as frequently. In 2017 he passed away owing to a prolonged illness.
