Jalgaon Horror: Father Shoots Daughter, Injures Son-in-Law Over Their Love Marriage At Wedding Function

In a shocking incident in Chopra in Jalgaon district, a man opened fire at a marriage function, where he shot at his daughter and son-in-law for doing love marriage on Saturday night.

The incident took place at 10 pm on Saturday in Chopda, according to the police.

The daughter died on the spot, while the son-in-law was seriously injured and is currently undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.

The accused father, who opened fire during the function, is in serious condition after being beaten up by attendees.

According to information received, Kiran Mangle, a retired CRPF sub-inspector, shot his daughter Trupti and her husband Avinash Wagh in a family function.

Trupti Avinash Wagh, 24, and Avinash Ishwar Wagh, 28, from Kothrud, Pune, had a love marriage two years ago. The girl's father, Karan Arjan Mangle, 48, from Shirpur, did not approve of the marriage and was angry about it.

On Saturday, Avinash Wagh's sister's Haldi program was held in Ambedkar Nagar, Chopda, and Kiran learned that Trupti and Avinash had arrived there in the evening. Kiran Mangle, a retired CRPF officer, went to the venue and fired three rounds at Trupti and Avinash with his revolver. Trupti was killed on the spot, while Avinash, who went to save her, was seriously injured. He was shifted to the district hospital in Jalgaon.

As the incident occurred during the Haldi program, the anger of the people present there was uncontrollable, and they attacked Kiran Mangle, the shooter. He was injured and also shifted to Jalgaon. As soon as the information about this case was received, the District Police Superintendent, Dr. Maheshwar Reddy, reached the spot and inspected it. A case has been registered at Chopra City Police Station.

Trupti died on the spot, while her husband Avinash Wagh was seriously injured and admitted to Jalgaon Government Medical College for treatment.

After receiving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police Dr. Maheshwar Reddy visited the spot. Further investigation is underway.
