According to The Starphotos shared on social media show the actor buying vegetables and placing an order at a pork stall. The images have quickly gone viral, with many praising Hung’s determination and independence despite his ongoing health struggles.

Several netizens also shared their own encounters with Hung, expressing their surprise and joy at seeing him in the market.

“I used to bump into him all the time while grocery shopping in Sheung Shui. We would take pictures together,” one fan recalled. “He especially loves roast meat.”

Another netizen added: “I once met him while buying beef rolls at Costco in Shenzhen.”

Hung has previously mentioned that grocery shopping on his own is a form of entertainment for him. The actor has relied on a wheelchair and walking stick since undergoing a knee operation in 2017.

In interviews, Hung has credited his wife, actress and Miss Hong Kong titleholder Joyce Godenzi, for her dedicated care in managing his health and diet.

“My wife doesn’t allow me to eat much,” he shared. “I can eat fatty food but have to give up starch.”

At 73, Hung is a pivotal figure in martial arts cinema, known for his work as both an actor and a choreographer. He has won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Action Choreography four times and is renowned for his roles in films like “The Gambling Ghost,” “The Last Tycoon,” and “Ip Man 2.”

Hung also served as the fight choreographer for Jackie Chan.
