This feature is currently available for testing in beta version 2.25.12.25.
data will remain private – everything will be on phone only
The biggest feature of this translation system is that it only works on your phone.
No data will be sent to the Internet or external server, so that the privacy and security of your chats will be completely safe.
Support will be available in many languages
Users can go to WhatsApp chat Info screen and download the packs of different languages-eg:
Hindi
Spanish
Arabic
Russian
Brazilian Portuguese
An auto detection pack will also be available which will identify different languages in group chat and give the right translation.
How to use?
Open a chat and go to “chat info”
Go to “Translation Settings” and choose language
If you want, turn on Auto Translation for complete chat
Or manually choose 'Translate' by tapping on a message
Translation feedback and management
If any translation is not good then the user can give feedback, but it is completely optional and your chat is not shared anywhere.
You can also delete or manage the language packs by going to the storage settings of the app.
Currently for beta users – will be launched soon for everyone
Currently, this feature is available only to some beta testers, which update WhatsApp from Play Store. It may have a large rollout in the coming weeks and new languages will also be added.
