Actress Pooja Hegde pulled out a very precious saree from her old wardrobe, taking a journey down memory lane.

The actress shared a number of photos of herself posing in a stunning 70-year-old green Kanjivaram saree on her Instagram account on Sunday. The actress accessorized the saree with a matching top, and she looked lovely in traditional attire.

The actress captioned the photos, saying, “From the old closet, a 70-YEAR-OLD beautiful saree… It brought back memories of my lovely grandmother, Ajji, going about her day in her Kanjivarams, the scent of the wet Mangalore mud after the first rains, and the fresh scent of mallige in the home before preparing to attend a wedding. Oh, the beauty in the little things.

Regarding her career, Pooja Hegde and Suriya will next be seen in Retro.

Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, and Prakash Raj are also featured in the movie. There will also be a special appearance by Shriya Saran.

The teaser for Retro, which gave hints of its dramatic and action-packed plot, was posted by the film’s creators on Christmas of last year. A lovely moment between Suriya and Pooja Hegde’s characters is shown in the teaser, which begins on Varanasi’s scenic ghats. In the scenario, Suriya promises to put his violent past behind him and embrace love when Pooja wraps a holy thread around his wrist.

Karthik Subbaraj is the director of Retro, which is his debut film with Suriya. The movie is slated to open in theaters on May 1st of this year.
