Coming in as an opener with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav showed no signs of nerves as he launched into the Titans’ bowling attack with fearless strokeplay. His aggressive knock provided the much-needed momentum in the steep chase, quickly turning the match in Rajasthan's favour.
Playing only his third IPL game, he even smashed a 90 meter six only on his second ball of the innings, off of Siraj. Later, he went on to play big shots against veteran pacer Ishant Sharma, who conceded 28 runs in the fourth over with 3 maximums, 2 boundaries and 2 wide balls.
