Mukesh Ambani’s wealth grew by $5.20 billion (approximately Rs 44293 crore) in just one day. This increase was after a surge in Reliance Industries stock prices on Monday. As per dollar exchange rate of Rs 85.18 this gain improved his ranking by one spot and took him to the 16th position with a net worth of $99.2 billion. Ambani was listed as the top gainer on Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index on Monday and is now the highest earner in India for 2025. This year alone Ambani has added $8.58 billion to his wealth. Ambani Tops Global Wealth Gainers Bernard Arnault added $3.18 billion to his wealth while Wang Ning and Larry Ellison earned $1.68 billion and $1.64 billion respectively. Whereas Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang’s wealth declined by $2.02 billion due to a dip in Nvidia shares dropped his global ranking of richest persons to 17th place and Ambani overtook it. The rise in Ambani’s wealth was mainly due to a rally in Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) shares. On Monday RIL stocks surged to an intraday high of Rs 1374 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) before closing at Rs 1366.30 with a 5.07% jump. The rally was seen after RIL’s announcement of a consolidated net profit of Rs 19407 crore for the fourth quarter ending March 2025. Reliance Industries operates the world’s largest oil refinery and generates revenue from polymers and chemicals. The company reported revenue of more than $100 billion for the fiscal year ending March 2024. Ambani also owns Mumbai Indians IPL cricket team. Gautam Adani Gains Shares of Adani Group companies also rose on Monday taking Gautam Adani’s net worth by $1.48 billion to $77.5 billion. This gain kept Adani in the 20th position on Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.
