JKSSB Junior Engineer Jobs 2025: Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board has released recruitment for bumper posts. Candidates can apply by visiting the official site.

There is good news for the youth preparing for government jobs. Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the notification for bumper recruitment for Junior Engineer (Civil) posts in Public Works (R&B) and Jal Shakti Department. A total of 508 vacant posts will be filled under this recruitment drive.

The online application process will start from 5 May 2025 and candidates can apply till 3 June 2025. Applications will be accepted only through the official website of JKSSB, jkssb.nic.in. The exam date and center information will be released on the website later.

Vacancy details

Out of 508 vacancies, 150 posts will be filled under the Public Works (R&B) Department and 358 posts under the Jal Shakti Department. This opportunity is special for those youth who want to make their career in the technical field.

Qualification

The candidate applying should have a three-year diploma in civil engineering or a degree in civil engineering from a recognized Indian university. Also, the candidate must be a resident of Jammu and Kashmir and must have a valid domicile certificate till the last application date.

Age limit

The maximum age for open merit and government service/contract employees is 40 years. The maximum age for ex-servicemen is 48 years. While the maximum age for physically handicapped candidates has been kept at 42 years. Also, the maximum age for reserved categories like SC/ST/RBA/EWS/OBC is 43 years.

This much application fee will have to be paid

General category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 600 for recruitment. While a fee of Rs 500 has been fixed for SC, ST, EWS and PWD category candidates. The fee has to be paid online through net banking, credit card or debit card.

Exam Pattern

Objective type questions of 120 marks will be asked in the exam for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil). The exam will be in English language and negative marking will also be applicable. Candidates will be given 120 minutes to solve the paper.
