Artificial Intelligence(AI): No matter how much discussion there is about Artificial Intelligence (AI) on social media, its use in India is still in its initial stages. A recent study conducted by Google and market research firm Kantar has revealed that more than 60% of people in India are still not familiar with AI while only 31% of people have ever used any generative AI tool.

According to the information, this report has come out in Google's first Gemini Day India program. Let us tell you that this study was based on 8,000 youth in the country whose age was between 18 to 44 years. These included men and women from tier-1 and tier-2 cities. The survey was divided into two parts, in which the first phase measured people's awareness and usage rate of AI, while the second phase measured the impact of Gemini.
Gemini's hold on Indian languages
According to the company, Gemini Live is currently working in 9 Indian languages and their team is working on expanding it to more than 100 languages. 93% of the Gemini users included in the study said that Gemini has increased their productivity. At the same time, 95% have got new creative ideas from it. Apart from this, 80% said that it has helped them in making complex decisions, while 69% believed that it has proved very useful in learning skills. 77% said that Gemini helped them achieve a new creative or professional goal.
ChatGPT is the most popular.
Although the number of Gemini users in India has not been made public, but at the global level, the number of its users has reached 35 crores (350 million). Still, it still lags behind OpenAI's ChatGPT (600 million monthly users) and Meta AI (500 million users).
