New Delhi: In the early hours of Friday, Delhi was hit by a lot of rain, which resulted in waterlogging and traffic jams in numerous areas of the nation’s capital. According to authorities, several flights at Delhi Airport have been affected by adverse weather.
“Some flights have been affected at Delhi Airport due to bad weather and thunderstorms in Delhi. In an alert published on X, Delhi Airport said that travelers seeking current flight information should get in touch with the relevant airline.
Images from Khanpur, the nation’s capital, showed vehicles wading through knee-deep water. In addition to the rain, Delhi saw high winds this morning.
Somebody called Mukesh informed the media report at DDU Marg, “I’m going to my workplace in Laxmi Nagar. The heat has been much alleviated by the rain. I’m running late for work now, however. I’ve been stranded here since five in the morning. Just today, there was an accident here and a traffic jam. Waterlogging is not present here; however, it is near the Connaught Place flyover.
“This rainfall will bring respite from the heat,” a guy approaching from the direction of Minto Bridge, Somvir, said. It’s a little chilly now. Waterlogging is occurring at the underpass. There, cars and motorcycles are breaking down. We’ve come back from that place.”
Traffic was disrupted by uprooted trees that were lying on the road at RK Puram, according to images taken from Major Somnath Marg. We saw office workers and schoolchildren stumbling to board their buses.
The India Meteorological Department has issued an advisory, warning that severe weather is now affecting Delhi NCR and advising locals to take precautions.
