Mika Singh Says There Is Sexual Performance Enhancer Named After Him In Punjab: 'Mera Gaana Gabru Itna Hit Ho Gaya Ki...'

While shedding light on the popularity of his songs in the country, singer Mika Singh revealed in a recent podcast that there are even sexual performance enhancing supplements in Punjab that are named after him and his song, Gabru.Mika appeared in Shubhankar Mishra's podcast recently and during their conversation, opened up on the chartbuster that his 2002 song Gabru was. "I found out that in Punjab, there is a sexual performance enhancer named after you. It's named Gabru, which was your song," the host said."Ji haan, sahi hai," Mika smiled and admitted.The host then stated that the tablet was named Gabru after watching Mika's song, which was high on energy. "There are a lot of things in Pakistan as well named Gabru. In fact, nowadays people in Bollywood are also seen wearing 'Gabru' t-shirts," Mika shared."Gabru is a very old word. But the song was such a hit that everyone started loving and using the word," the singer added.During the same podcast, Mika also revealed how his Bollywood journey was delayed due to Himesh Reshammiya's popularity. He shared that while working with Himesh once, he suggested that he must sing too, rather than just composing."Then one day he decided to sing, and the rest is history. He delivered 40 hits in a row, and I’d just set foot in Mumbai. It was over. His success didn’t just impact singers, but also composers. Everybody was wondering where this tsunami had come from," Mika recalled."I delayed my Bollywood career because of him, because I wanted his wave to run its course and for people to get over him. Had I also jumped in at the same time, people would’ve drawn comparisons, and it would have backfired," he explained.He also quipped, "All the singers would get together, get drunk and curse Himesh bhai. They would keep wondering where did this man come from, what is happening... But he’s so talented. He’s an incredible composer."Mika Singh debuted in Bollywood playback singing in 2006 with the song, Dil Mein Baji Guitar, from the film Apna Sapna Money Money. He has some of the most popular songs to his credit, including Mauja Hi Mauja, Ganpat, Saawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag, Subah Hone Na De, Jumme Ki Raat, and others.
