The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, who was sacked for hiding his marriage with a Pakistani woman, asserted that he had duly informed the department's top brass about his marriage and possesses official documents to prove it.
Seeking justice from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ahmed, who is married to Meenal Khan, stated that he had disclosed all details of his marriage to the authorities and had received a letter from the directorate acknowledging the information. He further mentioned that he had submitted his marriage certificate, wedding invitation card and photographs to his battalion as evidence.
"Our wedding happened on 24th May 2024 through video conference...she is my cousin...they stay in Pakistan. Before partition, both families stayed together here...I was in CRPF, so I sought permission. I wrote them a letter on 31st December 2022. They asked for wedding card, venue...I submitted everything to CRPF...through proper channel, it reached the director of CRPF, Delhi. After almost 5 months, I got the reply...it was written that I had informed the department. After the wedding, I informed my department again...I submitted the marriage certificate, wedding photos," he said while talking to ANI.

Ahmed said his wife came to India after procuring visa and the battalion was informed. He said they also applied for a long-term visa as well.
"On 28th February 2025, she got the visa and reached India. I informed my battalion once my wife arrived. I sent the visa copy to the deputy commandant...we had applied for a long-term visa on 4th March 2025, and field verification happened. We had an interview with FRRO Jammu. I was told they are sending positive recommendation for visa," he said.

Reacting over his termination letter, Ahmed stated that he was accused of keeping his wife in India despite the expiry of her Long Term Visa (LTV), and of failing to inform the department about the situation. He asserted that he possesses all the documents proving that the department was informed of this development.
"The reason they have told me is that I kept my wife here and did not inform the department. But, I did inform my department, I have proof, I submitted the document and informed them...On 26th March, when I reached headquarters in Sunderbani, I was suddenly asked to report to 41 (Battalion)... I gave the interview and told my entire story...I wrote a letter to DG and there also I mentioned everything. The application was still under process...then the incident (Pahalgam attack) happened...yesterday, suddenly I was informed that I have been dismissed from service...I want to appeal to PM and Union Home Minister, I want justice, I am a jawan...why did this happen? I have been giving all details to my department," he added.
CRPF officials have said Ahmed was dismissed because his actions were detrimental to national security. He was reportedly dismissed under the provisions that do not require conducting an inquiry.
