"For breakfast, I'll eat something like Greek yoghurt with honey, a piece of fruit, or toast," she told The Sunday Times Magazine (via ) in 2015. "Lunch is quick and simple, like soup and a sandwich or eggs and toast. I don't diet, but I try to eat well and not to eat too many carbohydrates or sugary things."

Echoing the advice of the British Heart Foundation, Tindall's choice of Greek yoghurt over regular yoghurt or milk is a sensible one given its higher protein content. Not only that, but the former also has a lower sugar content, and the thicker consistency means many people find it more filling, which helps stave off food cravings.

Greek yoghurt is not only a fantastic source of protein and calcium, but studies also indicate the nutrient blend in such dairy products may help slash the risk of heart and circulatory diseases. Opting for a low-fat Greek yoghurt is a smart move as it's believed to keep cholesterol level down due to its reduced saturated fat content compared to its full-fat counterpart.

Her favoured lunchtime choice of eggs and toast provides a very rounded balance of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats. The majority of fat content in eggs is located in the yolk, which also gives a good dose of omega-3 fatty acids.

When it comes to steering clear of sugary treats, the advises cutting down on foods and drinks packed with free sugars. That means avoiding items like fizzy drinks, cakes, sweets, and biscuits will help maintain a healthier, more balanced diet.

On top of eating right, Zara believes her fitness routine help keep her in top form for riding. It was announced in December 2023 that she was going 'part-time' in equestrian so that she could focus on being more present for her three children.

Post-pregnancy, however, she confessed how tough it was to bounce back into shape after welcoming her first child, Mia. Body image and mental health issues post-partum are common, but Tindall lifted the lid on what helped her regain her self-confidence.

"It is hard getting your body back when you've been riding for 25 years," she said during an appearance on hubby Mike's series, 'Mike Drop'. "Then your body is just completely not doing that, and your muscles are doing nothing.

"But it's just completely different, trying to get your body back to where it was quite. . .I found hard work. I found it hard getting myself back to it. Mentally, you feel guilty as a mother leaving your child to go and do something else."
