Gary Neville was in very good spirits as he stumbled out of David Beckham's 50th birthday celebration on Saturday night. The Manchester United icon marked his milestone with a lavish party at Core, the esteemed Michelin-starred eatery in Kensington, where fellow Red Devil and old friend Neville appeared to be having a whale of a time.

Spotted dressed in a white blazer, the Sky Sports commentator was caught on camera appearing rather merry on the streets and even shared an affectionate kiss with his wife Emma. The bond between Neville and Beckham stretches back to their glory days as part of United's famed Class of '92 and has remained strong through the years. Side by side, they conquered the right flank of Old Trafford for nearly 10 years, with Neville even given the honour of best man at Beckham's wedding in 1999.

Neville and his better half, wed in 2007, didn't indulge in a high-end Manchester spot for their first rendezvous. Rather, Neville was keen to share his preferred haunts - a decision that paid off as they hit it off without delay.

Speaking with Great British Life, he recounted: "Our first date was at the Living Room in Manchester but the real test for me was our second date, taking her to the Wellington pub in Bury for the quiz. It would have been so easy to take her to a fancy restaurant but I wanted to take her to the places I love and see what she thought. And the rest is history."

Neville, who passed the 50-year milestone a few months ago himself, took to social media to post a touching ode to his long-time pal. His heartfelt message read: "Happy 50th mate. You're the best! Stand still today for once and reflect on everything you have achieved and done in these first 50 years of your life.

"We've won, lost, laughed and cried but had the most incredible times together. I can still see our mums and dads in the crowd. Everything you've done has come through humility, care and hard work. I'm proud of you and more importantly trust you with my life. All my love to you."

Emma once revealed her astonishment at her husband's early bedtime habits during a Stick to Football podcast interview: "Going to bed was strange - at half nine. I can't get my head around how early that is. Now it's fine but back then I just thought, 'I can't do this!'. We would watch a film, and he'd just fall asleep, and I'd get to the end of it."

A-Listers like Gordon Ramsay, Tom Cruise, and Eva Longoria were spotted making their way out in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Eva Longoria, particularly close to Victoria Beckham, was another high-profile guest in attendance.

Following a discreet solo entrance, onlookers caught a brief sight of Hollywood icon Tom Cruise, 62, and his alleged girlfriend Ana de Armas, 37, as they were swiftly escorted away post-event.

Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn gave the evening a miss, despite reportedly flying to London with wife Nicola Peltz.
