It has been two weeks since the Pahalgam terror attack and the anger still lingers the mourning has not ended. The incident took place on April 22 in Pahalgam Kashmir. Several Bollywood personalities have spoken out and taken a stand in the aftermath of the attack. Following Aamir Khan and Salman Khan who postponed work related to their upcoming releases as a mark of respect Ranbir Kapoor has also joined in. In the wake of the heartbreaking terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians Ranbir Kapoor has made a significant decision that is sure to make his fans proud. One of the most anticipated films of the year is Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. The first part is set to release during Diwali 2026 with the second part currently in production and scheduled for Diwali 2027. Fans have been eagerly waiting to catch the first glimpse of Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project. While the teaser was initially planned to be unveiled at WAVES 2025 a major decision has now been made regarding its release. The entire team is reportedly in agreement with this decision. According to Box Office Worldwide the teaser has been postponed and will no longer be shown at WAVES. Nitesh Tiwaris Ramayana is being produced by Namit Malhotra with Yash serving as the co-producer. Confirming the update at the WAVES Summit Namit Malhotra said We had planned to show a glimpse of Ramayana at WAVES 2025 but it has been postponed in light of the situation in Pahalgam. Following the announcement from the makers it appears they are now waiting for the right time to unveil the teaser. In light of the Pahalgam terror attack they have decided to postpone its release. However a new date for the teaser launch has not yet been confirmed. Malhotra further explained that the team is committed to honouring the soul of the epic while modernising Ramyanas storytelling to connect with global viewers. “Ramayana deserves to be localised to be told in every tongue in every corner of the world” he added.
