Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is on a roll as after delivering the biggest worldwide grosser of Malayalam cinema — L2: Empuraan, he is all set to shatter the domestic records with his latest release Thudarum.
The film directed by Tharun Moorthy and co-starring Shobana, Prakash Varma, Farhaan Faasil and Binu Pappu is on course to become the first in Malayalam cinema to hit Rs 100 crore in Kerala.
Currently, the highest grosser in Kerala is 2018 (2023) which made Rs 89 crore. Now, Thudarum has already grossed around Rs 76 crore in 11 days and is expected to zoom past Rs 100 crore with ease.

Mohanlal’s highest grosser in Kerala is Pulimurugan which made Rs 79 crore back in 2016.
At the worldwide box office, the film has already grossed over Rs 166 crore and is currently the fourth biggest Malayalam grosser of all time.

The film is also doing strong business overseas. In fact, in the UAE it has created history in its second weekend by taking down the big Marvel release Thunderbolts*: The New Avengers which is in its opening weekend.
Reportedly, Thudarum recorded higher footfalls in its second weekend than Thunderbolts* opening weekend.

Thudarum witnessed 88,828 admits in its weekend two while Thunderbolts* in its extended opening weekend generated 73,765 admits.
