Additionally, there were allegations of many explosions in the vicinity of Lahore’s Walton Road. Lahore Cantonment is reached via the road. According to media reports, Pakistani authorities verified the explosion and stated they were now investigating the precise cause and location of the bomb.

Residents went into panic mode after the explosions. People fled their houses in terror, and witnesses reported seeing clouds of smoke in the air.

The urgency was increased when sirens were heard nearby soon after the explosion.

A drone was reportedly seen close to Walton Airport.

According to unverified claims, there were apparently two powerful explosions near Askari 5 in Lahore, with smoke billowing from Naval College.

Pakistan blocked commercial flights on a number of important Lahore and Sialkot airways till noon earlier in the morning. The Lahore and Sialkot aviation routes will be restricted till Thursday noon, per a new Notice to Airmen (Notam) that was issued.

This comes after the Indian military’s Operation Sindoor targeted and destroyed nine major Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The 25-minute duration of the precise attacks began early Wednesday morning. Nine terrorist installations, including the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Toiba in Muridke and important terror training facilities in Bahawalpur—long regarded as havens for extremist activities—were targeted by 24 missiles fired between 1.05 and 1.30 in the morning.

“We have taken targeted, methodical, and non-escalatory measures. There have been no attacks against Pakistani military installations. In choosing its aims and execution strategy, India has shown a great deal of moderation,” the ministry stated in a statement.
