Punjab Police Cancels Leave: On Punjab High Alert after Operation Sindoor, policemen holiday canceled, schools closed in six districts

News India Live, Digital Desk: Punjab Police Cancels Leave: After increasing tension and operation vermilion between India and Pakistan Punjab Police The department issued an order to cancel the holidays of all officers and employees with immediate effect on Thursday morning. Tightening the security system of the state, all schools of six border districts – Firozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Tarn Taran – have been temporarily closed.

The Indian armed forces destroyed nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK on Tuesday-Thursday night in missiles and drone attacks. These locations included the strongholds of terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. After this action, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with Chief Ministers of several states including Punjab, in which Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was also present. The meeting directed to be vigilant about security and health system in border states.

In view of this, the Amritsar administration has also launched 'Blackout Drill'. The district administration has appealed to the people not to panic, do not get out of the houses and keep the outer lights off the houses. Earlier, a mock drill was organized in Amritsar from 10:30 pm to 11 pm.

Meanwhile, the central government on Thursday called an all -party meeting in New Delhi to give information about Operation Sindoor. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has shared this information on social media. Earlier in the Union Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the bravery of the Indian Army for the operation, and the cabinet ministers congratulated him, expressing confidence in the leadership of PM Modi.
