Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj were among the military targets targeting Pakistan with drones and missiles on the evening of May 7-8.

The Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defense systems destroyed these drones and missiles. “The debris of these attacks is now being recovered from a number of locations that prove the Pakistani attacks,” said the announcement.

India then launched a massive attack, hitting Pakistan’s air defense radars and systems at many points.

“India’s retaliation has been as intense as Pakistan’s in the same area.” An Air Defense system at Lahore has been neutralized, according to reliable information,” the official statement said.

Using mortars and heavy-caliber artillery, Pakistan has escalated its unprovoked shooting across the Line of Control in regions in the Jammu and Kashmir sectors of Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri.

The government said that Pakistan’s unprovoked heavy firing across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir was the reason India had to take the action. 16 people have already died as a result of the Pakistan Army’s fire.

“Pakistani shooting has claimed the lives of sixteen innocent people, including three women and five children. India was forced to react here as well in order to stop Pakistani mortar and artillery attacks,” the statement said.

The Indian military has reaffirmed its commitment to non-escalation, as long as the Pakistani military reciprocates.

India described its reaction as targeted, methodical, and non-escalatory during the May 7 press briefing on Operation Sindoor.

The fact that Pakistani military installations had not been attacked was expressly emphasized. Additionally, it was reaffirmed that any assault on Indian military sites will prompt a proportionate reaction.
