A large-scale emergency preparation mock exercise was held in Nandyal town in compliance with government directions in light of the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. District Superintendent of Police (SP) Adhiraj Singh Rana and Joint Collector C. Vishnu Charan gave the relevant authorities instructions to conduct the exercise in order to increase preparedness for future calamities.
The Collectorate had a review meeting with officials on Wednesday to go over the preparations for the exercise. Mock exercises are essential for preparing for emergencies like terrorist attacks, natural disasters, or major accidents, the Joint Collector and SP emphasized in their remarks on the occasion. In addition to aiding in the creation of a successful response plan, these exercises educate the community on safety precautions.
For efficient coordination, the JC directed District Revenue Officer (DRO) Ramu Naik to establish a control room at the Collectorate. 108 emergency cars, stretchers, and medical staff were instructed to be on standby by the medical and health department. To improve readiness, fire department personnel were encouraged to carry out the practice in the same way as a real disaster.
The authorities also instructed the appropriate agencies to guarantee the efficient implementation of safety procedures and emphasized the need to avoid congestion in one area during crises. To make sure individuals in a variety of sectors have the reaction abilities they need, mock drills would also be held in public spaces, workplaces, schools, and hospitals.
To raise awareness and mimic unforeseen tragedies, a complex mock exercise was conducted on Wednesday at the Ram Nath Centre in Nandyal. Officials gave a genuine demonstration of crisis management by coordinating their emergency reaction. By providing useful information on how individuals, groups, and authorities should react, the exercise sought to increase preparedness for disasters including earthquakes, fires, floods, and terrorist attacks.
Authorities emphasized that these drills greatly improve readiness and public safety. People can react swiftly and prevent fear by being informed of what to do in an emergency, such as getting to safe areas and safeguarding important body parts. Important skills including safe evacuation and first reaction procedures were also taught to the participants.
Nandyal Extra SP Among those in attendance were Mand Javali Alphons, DRO Ramu Naik, Nandyal RDO Vishwanath, Circle Inspectors, Tahsildars, and members of the armed forces.
