However, this time the studies of senior classes will continue in Delhi government schools even in May-June.

But now the Mamata government has changed the summer vacation date. Summer holidays will start in all the schools of West Bengal from tomorrow i.e. 09 May 2025. This decision has been taken given the war situation developing between India and Pakistan. All schools in Delhi will be closed from 11 May 2025.

Delhi Schools Closed: From when to when will the summer vacation be in Delhi?

The Directorate of Education, Delhi has announced the summer vacation. All schools in the country's capital will remain closed from May 11 to June 30, 2025. If the weather remains too hot even after June 30, 2025, then the holidays can be extended further. If the holidays are extended for more days, then an order for online classes can also be issued. This order is especially for government schools in Delhi. Private schools in Delhi can take a separate decision on their holidays.

Summer Vacation 2025: These children will not get long vacation

In most schools, classes are conducted for students from class 9th to 12th even during summer vacations. The Directorate of Education, Delhi has also given the same order this year. During the summer holidays, remedial classes will be organized for students of classes 9, 10 and 12 in all government schools in Delhi. It is written in the circular of the Directorate of Education that there will be summer vacations in schools from May 11 to June 30. At the same time, remedial classes will be run from 13 May to 31 May.

Delhi Remedial Classes: Remedial classes will be held at this time

According to this circular, remedial classes will be held between 7.30 am to 10.30 am. This will save children from the heat. In schools running in double shifts, remedial classes will be run in different wings to accommodate all the students. Students of class 9 and 10 will study science and mathematics every day. A third subject can be included in it depending on the needs of the students. The school principal can take this decision.
