Standing in full solidarity with the Government of India and the Armed Forces, the BCCI highlighted the bravery and tireless service of the Indian soldiers involved in Operation Sindoor – a decisive military reply to the terrorist incident and the attack by the Pakistan Army to cross the border. The board accepted the unique sacrifices made by the armed forces and assured that cricket would never come beyond the integrity and national interest of the country.
The tournament has been postponed for a week, but the BCCI has clarified that the revised match programs and updates will be shared after a detailed evaluation in coordination with the authorities concerned. The board assured the fans that if it is favorable to the situation, it would work towards starting the tournament responsibly. The BCCI also thanked the official broadcaster Geostar, Title sponsor Tata and other commercial partners for supporting the decision without any hesitation. The board said that their cooperation reflects a common commitment to national priorities on commercial or entertainment interests.
