India-Pakistan tensions rise
Meanwhile, on Thursday night, Pakistan carried out provocative actions targeting Indian cities, civilian infrastructure, and some military sites, according to India’s Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri. He stated that the Indian Armed Forces responded "proportionately, adequately, and responsibly." Misri criticized Pakistan for making false claims about the attacks, accusing India of targeting cities like Amritsar and attempting to blame Pakistan. He emphasized that Pakistan’s denial of its own aggression was part of its ongoing disinformation campaign. Misri also condemned Pakistan’s false allegations regarding an attack on the Nankana Sahib Gurdwara, calling it another attempt to stoke communal tensions. He pointed out that Pakistan’s actions reflect its history of deceit and efforts to mislead the world.
