A 50-bigha illegal colony in Modinagar has been destroyed by the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA). The location, which is situated on Khasra numbers 839 and 840 in the hamlet of Didauli, was cleared with a bulldozer as part of this decisive operation.

The operation took place on Monday under the direction of the enforcement zone-2 team. Sandeep Chaudhary was found to be responsible for the unauthorized planning by the GDA. In addition to houses, the developers’ boundary walls and roadways were also demolished. The builders protested, but the cops kept the peace and made sure the operation went on without any problems.

Atul Vats, the vice president of the GDA, has given his officials a strict order: if they see any further development on the property, they must submit a First Information Report (FIR). He emphasized how crucial it is to keep a careful eye on the region in order to stop any more unlawful activity.

The public has been alerted by the GDA that any work that is done without the required authorization will be swiftly dismantled.

Unsafe drinking water has been reported in a number of high-rise communities in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, according to independent reports. The Health Department reports that 193 of the 502 water samples that were gathered over the previous four months did not pass quality testing. According to reports, a lot of locals become sick from the tainted water, but many are reluctant to voice their worries because of conflicts with the builders. AOA and RWA presidents of impacted organizations have received notifications from the Health Department suggesting prompt tank cleaning and chlorination in response.

Bharat City (Teela Mod), Fortune (Rajnagar Extension), Amrapali (Crossings), Gardenia Geetanjali (Vasundhara), and other notable societies are among those whose samples failed. Doctors caution that drinking such water might cause renal problems, typhoid, hepatitis, and diarrhea, which are particularly harmful to young people and the elderly.

Locals may report problems by calling authorities directly or by using the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation’s 311 app. When pollution is suspected, it is recommended to use bottled water in the meantime.
