Bayern Munich could be forced to sell Dayot Upamecano (26) during the summer transfer window, according to a report from Market football.
Upamecano’s contract situation with the Bavarian club is precarious. His current deal runs until the summer of 2026 and whilst there have been talks over a renewal, they have reached a dead end. The Frenchman, therefore, goes into the summer transfer window with just one year remaining on his deal.
Bayern Munich are determined not to lose the player on a free transfer, and with no signs of a renewal, it could incite the Bundesliga giants to sell the player at the end of the season. Despite links to Paris Saint-Germain, Market football understands that the Ligue 1 champions currently have no intention of signing the France international, despite being in the market for a centre-back. PSG are preparing for the possibility of Marquinhos departing but Upamecano is not part of any succession planning.
